1975-76 FAST TRACKER
The Fast Tracker never appeared in any Ideal catalogs. Its history is somewhat of a mystery, but here is what is known. It was released in 1975 and appeared in that years Sears Christmas catalog. It was also released that same year as the Wheelie Car in the Derry Daring line with a few minor changes to the graphics. The Wheelie Car did however appear in the Ideal catalogs. Another interesting thing to note is the back of the Fast Tracker box. It was the only toy in the line to have "TO: _____" printed on the back(like a gift tag). It was also the only set to never have a glossy graphic applied to the front of the box or to come in the newer full color box. In both toy lines it was originally released as a white car with a blue interior. Somewhere along the line Ideal reversed the colors. In 1976 the Derry Daring line was discontinued and nothing was ever seen of either the Wheelie Car or Fast Tracker. I believe the Fast Tracker to have been originally designed as a Derry Daring toy in 1975. All things considered, I believe the Fast Tracker was a Sears exclusive.

The Energizer were placed on the bottom of the box with the Fast Tracker(in cardboard insert) placed on top of the Energizer pieces. The decal sheet, instruction sheet, and figure(wrapped in plastic) were then thrown in. The box was glued shut. I do not believe any were stapled shut.
